Straight (even spacing)
Swing ("&" pushed late — notice the uneven gaps)
Straight = even spacing between all notes. Swing= the "&" gets pushed late, closer to the next beat. Creates a bounce/groove. Jazz, blues, and lo-fi hip-hop use swing heavily.
